GoodShot:Automatic Capture and Editing of Golf Play Highlights Using Cameras and AI Installed on Golf Carts
GoodShot is a service that automatically records and edits golf shots during play. It was jointly developed by three companies: H.I.S. Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter “HIS”), Kyoei Seiko Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Moka City, Tochigi), and RoboSapiens Inc.
Cameras mounted on both sides of the golf cart automatically capture players during their rounds. The system records footage from optimal angles based on the player’s movements, and the captured video is transmitted to a server where AI automatically edits and generates highlight videos of the golf play.
At the request of H.I.S. Co., Ltd., our company was responsible for hardware selection, software development, and cloud infrastructure construction for this service.

During the development of this service, various challenges arose, including outdoor operation and filming from a moving vehicle. To address these issues, we selected hardware suitable for the operational environment while ensuring both high capture quality and stable system operation. We also developed image analysis AI to utilize the captured gameplay footage and built and optimized the cloud infrastructure.
In addition, we continue to provide operational maintenance after deployment, delivering an optimized end-to-end solution covering everything from development to ongoing operation.
